What are your department's Day-to-Day responsibilities to the citizens of Webster County?
Webster County Emergency Management helps to prepare the community, with integrity and professionalism for any disastrous event and minimize loss of life and property, with effective response and recovery management. To provide the most efficient and effective coordination of resources available in the mitigation of, planning and preparation for, response to and recovery from emergencies and disasters by businesses and industry and from the public. This office develops and maintains a current "Webster County Local Emergency Operation Plan" which coordinates the actions of government departments and agencies in the event of an emergency. These areas are maintained by:
- Coordinating education, training and exercises
- Planning in Mitigation and Emergency Operations
- Collaborating with community leaders in information and resources
